1. Introduction and Scope
This Privacy Policy ("Policy") is prepared by EDROIDA GÖRSEL TEKNOLOJİ HİZMETLERİ LTD. ŞTİ. ("Company", "we") and explains how we collect, process, and protect your personal data when you use the Examora iOS mobile application ("App").
By downloading or using the App, you declare that you have read, understood, and accept this Policy. If you do not accept the Policy, do not use the App.
2. Data We Collect
Examora collects only the data necessary to provide the service:
- Account Information: Name / username, email address — collected during registration. Passwords are stored securely on device or in Keychain.
- Usage Data: Selected specialty (Medicine, Law, Engineering, etc.), preparation source type, app preferences (haptic, language setting).
- Audio Data: Audio captured via microphone during session is used only for real-time processing. It is converted to text on-device using Apple AVFoundation and SFSpeechRecognizer. Audio files are not permanently uploaded to our servers.
- Translation Data: Apple Translation framework is used; translation is largely performed on-device. Apple's privacy policy applies: apple.com/privacy.
- AI Processing: Question text and specialty context are transmitted to our AI infrastructure over encrypted channels for answer generation. No personal information is included in this transmission. Your data is not used for AI model training.
3. Microphone and Audio Access
Examora's core function is to listen to the other party's speech and capture your voice response. Microphone permission is required. Audio is recorded only during an active session; it does not run in the background. When the session ends, all audio buffer data is cleared from memory. Audio is never shared with third parties.
4. Purpose of Data Use
Collected data is used only for: AI-assisted answer generation, account management and authentication, specialty and preference synchronization, app performance monitoring and error detection, compliance with legal obligations.
Your data is not used for advertising profiling, sharing with third parties for marketing purposes, or model training.
5. Data Storage and Retention
Account information, specialty preferences, and app settings are stored on your device (UserDefaults / Keychain). Question context transmitted for answer generation is processed temporarily; no permanent server record is kept. When you delete your account, all server-side data is permanently destroyed within 30 days.
6. Data Security
All network traffic is encrypted with TLS 1.3. Sensitive data is stored in Apple Keychain. In-app data transmission is HTTPS-only. Our server infrastructure is protected with security measures compliant with ISO 27001 standards.
7. User Rights (KVKK / GDPR)
Under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) and the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access, rectify, erase ("right to be forgotten"), object, data portability, and restriction of processing in relation to your data.

8. Third-Party Services
Examora uses Apple frameworks: AVFoundation, SFSpeechRecognizer, Translation, MessageUI. These frameworks are subject to Apple's privacy policy. Currently, no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs are used.
9. Children's Privacy
Examora is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from users under 13.
10. Policy Updates
This Policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be announced via in-app notification and email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
